Atticus The Matchmaker

"Who walks their pet crocodile in the forest?" "Well, Chazz, Jim does, apparently." Jaden replied to Chazz's question. "But Jaden, why does he even have a pet crocodile?" Asked Syrus.

Jesse honestly didn't feel like saying anything about it, though he could have.
It seems that one of Chazz's unthought about questions sparked a rather lengthy conversation, and yet not everyone participated.

Though they were not within hearing distance, Jim and Jesse were kept busy eyeing a beast.

No, not the same beast.
Jim was watching Shirley, making sure no forest animal disturbed her or something.
Jesse, on the otherhand, was admiring Jim

Yes, Jim is a beast. According to Jesse.

When it comes to Jim, Jesse gets torn apart. As in, one side's not sure if Jesse could strike up a conversation with Jim without his face turning the color of the tip of Ruby Carbuncle's tail.

The other side, is the daydream side. The side that has Jesse believing in that Jim's a beast. You know, the kind that has you seeing stars when you're on your back, underneath?
This has nothing to do with beastiality.

Sometimes, the daydreams can get pretty wild. But now, nothing to extreme ran through Jesse's head as he watched Jim walk alongside Shirley. The way the light shone through the trees onto Jim and Shirley was so...photogenic.
If only Jesse had a camera.

Jesse's silence almost went unnoticed. That is, until, Jaden tapped his shoulder.
"Hey, Jess, we're planning on having a huge slumber party at Chazz's and-" "I didn't say you guys could come!" Jaden shot a glare at Chazz and continued "We're going to stay up and tell ghost stories all night!"
"Not this again!" Syrus whined.
"Don't worry,Syrus, I'm sure we can do other things besides share ghost stories" Alexis tried to comfort Syrus as Atticus just ran around wailing "BOO!"
To which, Hassleberry replied,
"Why is there going to be a female at a slumber party full of guys?"

Jesse nodded to Jaden, who jumped for joy. "Anyone else we should invite?"
Suddenly, a great idea popped into Jesse's head.
"If we're gonna share ghost stories," Jesse glanced at the rest of the gang "Why doesn't Jim join us? I-I mean, he's gotta have a good story, right?" "You're right, Jess!"

-Time Skip: The Slumber Party-

As Jim is infact their friends, he willingly accepted the invitation. He brought Shirley of course.

Syrus, very against the ghost story idea, got everyone to play something else.

Spin The Bottle truth or dare, of course.

Who but Atticus would suggest that, and who but Jaden would whole heartedly agree that "obviously, nothing will go wrong."

Jesse has heard of two different ways to play Spin The Bottle. He's heard of the version they're playing now, and the one that's like 7 Minutes in Heaven.

Jesse probably wouldn’t survive if he got landed in a closet with Jim.

Pondering this, he was vaguely aware that the bottle landed on him. Not even knowing who spun it,
“Dare” slipped out. Honestly, Jesse wasn’t too thrilled on either truth or dare, but he was in a go-with-the-flow mood.

Unfortunately,for him, whichever Jesse chose, he would’ve been in trouble.

“I dare you to kiss the person to your left!”

Jesse’s attention snapped to Atticus with a look that screamed “Just WHAT did you dare me to do?
Atticus just sat there with a dumb grin on his face; he felt Jesse wasn’t being fun so he had to rectify that.

Jesse’s heart beated faster and faster as he slowly turned to the person to his left, who chuckled. “Don’t worry, Jesse, it’s just a kiss.”

Jim smiled at Jesse, who gulped and closed his eyes. there’s no way out of this

Before he could do anything, Jesse felt fingers gently brush his jaw line as soft lips crashed onto his own.

It was only a nanosecond till Jesse felt pleasant tingles course through his body. And it was only a nanosecond for Jesse to think He must be the thunder to my storm, and thus creates rainbows

But it didn’t take long for the group (minus Chazz) to cheer them on. Jesse decided to pull away, embarrassed, he said, “I-I’ll be right back” upon impulse, Jesse ran outside, before he could hyperventilate.
He had calmed down after a while, but was unsure whether he could return to the slumber party just yet.

Of course, it’s hard to go anywhere when gentle arms casually wrap around your shoulders. Jesse silently gasped, but didn’t look to see who it was.

“Think I didn’t like it?” “D-did you?” “You think I’d go right ahead and kiss you if I didn’t?” “To get it over with…” “Good point, but no, I liked it.”

Jesse slowly turned to face Jim. Before more words could be exchanged, Jim leaned over and kissed him again. This time, Jim was able to deepen the kiss.

Jesse’s knees weakened as Jim’s tongue explored his own, and it didn’t take too long for Jesse to taste fruit He’s kissing me with skittles in his mouth!

“It worked! I knew I was a good matchmaker!”

Jim and Jesse pulled away to look at the disruptor.

“Hi guys!” Atticus waved.
